Cooking tip: Heating milk in a medium low heat before adding to a tomato based sauce will help prevent milk from curdling.
PROCEDURE
- saute garlic, onion
- add in Pork (menudo cut)
- Mix in tomato sauce plus 1/2 cup water and let it boil until meat is tender
- add in carrots (slice in cubes)
- add in potato (slice in cubes)
- add in the liver
- add sausage, pickle relish, cheese and 1 small can of Reno ( optional)
- add salt, pepper, brown sugar and drops of Calamansi.
- add in bell pepper
- In a separate pan, heat the milk gently in a medium-low heat, don’t let it boil, then pour in the menudo , mix well and serve .
