Banana Turon

Banana Turon glazed with sweet Jack fruit (langka) caramel. A temptingly tasty Filipino dessert and afternoon snack as well.




PROCEDURE

  • In a pan, combine Langka and brown sugar, add 1/2 cup water. Bring to boil until he sugar melted. Then drain and set aside the sugar mixture.
  • Slice each banana into 4 parts.
  • with the turon wrapper, wrap 2 slices of banana with Langka in the middle.
  • Fry the wrap banana then set aside.
  • In a pan, heat the sugar mixture until it becomes syrupy and darkens.
  • add in the fried turon and mix, The langka caramel will coat the turon.
