The Journey begins

Hello and welcome! My name is Ghie, owner and creator of FoodyOverload cooking blog. When I decided to shift working from home as a freelancer, I never had a clear idea of what I really wanted to do. It’s not that I don’t know what or how to do it, but it is because right from the start I was hit by, a jack of all trade syndrome, and I really don’t know what to pick from all those niches. The struggle was real for almost 2 years until I finally bumped into one of the social media posts from FVA consultancy, this is where the FoodyOverload blog and Foodyoverload YouTube channel began its journey.
The blueprint of my real-life passion
I’m a strong believer that everything happens in our life is with a purpose. I’m a design person, an artist at heart, I quickly learned graphic design and website creation through self-study. One time, I offer website design to a prospect client, it was almost a close deal but when the client asked about SEO task, I got speechless, I don’t have any idea about SEO at that time. So I end up losing a potential client, and sadly my struggle in freelancing continues.
Out of curiosity when I came across with FVA ads, the SEO-In-depth course caught my attention. So I enrolled and realized that it was really IN-depth learning. The SEO course served as a key to materialize the blueprint of my real-life passion. It has helped me outline the branding that was sitting inside my head for 2 years.
Every little effort counts
It is my pleasure sharing the insights and skills of the other version of me. Cooking for me is an adventure, I love to discover new taste by mixing and matching ingredients. I found the key and it’s the right time to put in the real effort, content creation, consistency, techniques to make the blog and channel grow. Hence, SEO plays a compelling role.
Of course, as part of the branding, merchandise is on the top list. Consistency wise, FoodyOverload merchandise speaks for itself with it’s unique and funny food designs. Though I am aware that blogging/vlogging is not an overnight task, nor a quick money spinner for a beginner. However it can led to an endless possibilities as well. In order for somebody to succeed it requires a lot of passion, patience, and effort. What important is, take the first step and everything will follow. As what the saying goes, “ The last thing to grow on a fruit tree is the fruit, stay patient, what you work for will manifest “.
Thank you so much to my mentors from FVA consultancy, coach Grace and coach Jay Locsin, the couple who are truly a blessing in the life of many freelancers.
